Grasshopper

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a grasshopper at out home before but there was one on the door this morning. Something to do with the heat? It kindly stayed still long enough for me to get this.

First thing was to go and check equipment for a zoom meeting next week and someone kindly came and opened up the building where it is to be held. The previous 2 occasions there it has not worked so I thought a test run was necessary. Of course it worked perfectly first time!

After a shop into the city for some other purchases. On leaving that shop I bumped into friends and former colleagues (wife and husband) whom I’d not seen in person for ages (I mean years!). The three of us had time for a coffee in the museum for an enjoyable catch up. I renewed my oft broken promise to visit them!

Back via Bristol Square which was decked out ready for the Edinburgh Pride March. The skies were somewhat grey and threatening but the square brightened the place up.

An afternoon mainly indoors as light showers came and went as I recorded documents on the laptop.

Part of the evening spent working out why the heating in the back room was not going off. We may not have reached soaring temperatures outside today but in the room we were doing our best to aspire to them. I reset the thermostat settings so hopefully that is now sorted!

All in all another busy day!
