WE MADE IT!!!

VANessa (VW Van) has officially hauled us all the way from the UK to Portugal – what a gal. Honestly, I think she deserves a medal... or at least a deep clean and an oil change.

We’re taking a break from campsite life and staying in an Airbnb for a bit.  We've stayed here before, its a great location – It’s got a full kitchen, washing machine, and actual walls. Almost feels like cheating on VANessa. But my god, it’s glorious.

Mozzies, however, have declared full-scale war. I’m basically one giant, angry red bite. They are massive, im off to the pharmacy in the morning as my repellent and afterbite stuff clearly isn't working! Even Paul’s been bitten, which rarely happens – clearly the mozzies are equal-opportunity buggers this year.

Managed to get the VPN working on the Fire Stick and caught up on the Canadian Grand Prix. Felt strangely proud of myself – it’s the most techy thing I’ve done since finishing work. Race Across the World is lined up for tomorrow night.

Dinner was burgers – we did a shop at Aldi before we arrived, so many vegan options here!

Had a catch-up with Jo on FaceTime – sounds like everything’s ticking along with GB# 2. (grandbaby number 2!) She’s tired of course, but all seems well at 16 weeks. Looking forward to the gender scan in 4 weeks time!

The plan for the next week is the usual holiday stuff.  Walk, eat, drink, sunbathe, repeat. Possibly scratch some bites in between.
