Holy Kart, Batman!
Today the annual Lincoln Krazy Races Soapbox Derby was taking place in aid of the Lives charity.
It's always a fun event with home made karts competing to set the fastest time down a short hill. There are also prizes for showmanship, innovation and best costumes. I've Blipped a Batmobile!
Teams were entered from charities, businesses and just for the fun of it. Last year it had been very crowded, with food trucks and people all packed into a small area. It was hard to see and hard to move around. They'd learnt from that though, and also made use of the Usher gallery grounds for food trucks and a picnic area with a big screen so families could see what was going on.
The weather has turned today, with clouds, high winds and the odd shower too. It's cooled down quite a bit also. I was glad to come home for lunch.
