Popped

Looking round the garden, it was obvious that it wasn't only the grass that had grown. This poppy had come from nowhere, peaked and was on its way out. 

While the rest of the country seemed to be sweltering, we had the haar for most of the day. Until it rained. 

Ironically, after that the sun finally came out.
