Another rather expensive purchase, obviously the postage to France from the UK isn't cheap, but then you have "BREXIT tax" on top.
The new model is the one on the left, an ex London Transport AEC Routemaster. Here is a video short about it.
Only this one was bought from them by Confidence Buses in my native Leicester back in the late 80's. They still run it mainly for wedding hires.
The other bus is the first double decker owned by Confidence, a Guy Arab. This bus came from a company called Southdown, based on the south coast of England.
The Routemaster (left) is a model by Bachmann-EFE, who are actually based in Leicester. The Guy is by Britbus and only 500 of these were made.
Was 35°C yesterday and only slightly cooler today. So I'm back down in our cooler basement, uploading photos and earlier when it was cooler upstairs, transferring files from my old Windows PC to the Linux Mint Mac Mini. When lessons end later this month, I'll be converting my Thinkpad to Linux Mint too.
The last thing I want to do is mess up my laptop while I'm still teaching.
