Ahoy there
A watery kind of day. The forecast was for hot, hot - but in true Scotland style, in rolled a haar. Cold, damp - especially down at Granton harbour.
My sailor pal recruited me as a (novice) crew member on her dragon sailing boat, along with another only slight less novice. As the fog was swirling she suggested we didn’t race - the original plan- and just had a sail. Thank goodness! I think I enjoyed it but realise I am not agile or strong enough for this game - and haven’t a clue what’s going on. But Skipper was excellent at giving out instructions and explaining what was happening. So we successfully sailed out somewhere in to the Forth, and back, without capsizing or hitting anyone. And even spotted the cruise ship that was blasting its fog horn through the mist.
The afternoon did brighten up and was sunny back at home. So H, the Big Dog and I went for a swim at Gladhouse - lovely water and not too many folk at our end of the reservoir.
