Nobel discovery

Near the centre of Stockholm adjacent to a beautiful park stands the Nobel factory where in the 19th century Alfred Nobel invented dynamite.  It revolutionised the construction and mining industries.

Later Nobel was so disturbed by the destructive uses of his invention that he established the Nobel prizes to promote international peace and scientific advancement.
