Summer solstice
Woke up with sore sinuses again this morning as the cold is taking full effect but got up and took the dogs for a run on the beach and a swim as we were moving from Hushinish. Lazy morning after that and headed into Tarbert to go to the local craft fair that J had seen. Dogs were great walking around and J came away with a new cushion, with a house and some sheep on it, a lamp with a hand painted lampshade of St Kilda and I bought a new coffee mug. From there we went over to the Harris Tweed shop just out of Tarbert and J found a nice jacket and Harris Tweed cushion, bought the cushion but left the jacket as we went back to the other Harris Tweed shop in Tarbert to look for another cushion, couldn’t find one but J bought a jacket. Headed to Horgabost campsite and found our pitch then took the dogs for a run on the beach. All went well till Darwin didn’t see we had thrown his ball in and couldn’t find it so I ended up going for the first swim of the holiday as the tide and currents were taking it away around the rocks. Darwin was in as well and swam with me to finally find his ball. Darwin was knackered after that 6 minute swim so back to the camper for dinner and a quiet night in playing Wingspan. Went out around 11 to take a photo of the sun setting as it was the longest day today.
