Small changes…

I’m no photographer and used to think that taking photographs created a barrier between the photographer and their experience in everyday life. Folkie showed me a different, quieter way of using photography as a new way of seeing integrated into the experience rather than something which required everyone to stop and meet the photographer’s needs. So I thought I might give this Blip thing a go in her memory.

We walked past these buildings regularly wondering at how slowly they were going up with barely a change between one week and the next. I walked past again today missing her intensely and remembering her interest in all aspects of the world around her.

I’m going to need persistence and determination over the coming months and will draw on Folkies quiet strength, determination and her voice telling me to live the best life I can, doing one small thjng at a time. The small changes taking place slowly on this building from an oil o rubble have led to big changes over time. I’ll keep reminding myself of that.
