Shield beetle

I was doing a bit childminding today, well, all day actually. James and I went for a walk to the train station and watched the trains. Grandad was off today so we sent him a message to come and meet us but he didn't have his mobile on :-/ Eventually he did make it down, to see the last train, and walk with us back up the big steep hill. The shield beetle had landed on my knee, it was quite big! I was so taken with it that I drew it's portrait for today's picture - see extra
