An ordinary life....

Homeward bound...

Alarm went off at 7am and I reluctantly dragged myself out of the very large and comfortable bed to get showered.

When I emerged D was packing the last of our stuff and after he was showered and dressed we headed to the dining room for our last lovely breakfast.  Bacon, poached eggs and toast for D, toast and their delicious porridge for me.  Oh I am going to miss this lovely hotel!

We left just before 11am and took the scenic route to Eyemouth via Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh Castle.  We found the holiday house we will be staying in with Agnes and Adrian in Beadnell in December.  It's lovely.  The weather won't be as lovely then though :-)

Popped in to see LeeAnne in Eyemouth and grabbed a bite of lunch.  Lovely to see her even though it was just a flying visit.  Easy journey the rest of the way home.

Alan was very happy to see us and us him.  He had such a fabulous holiday.  He brought us gifts (in extras :-)

We got unpacked and were just thinking about making dinner when Lola returned.  She's had another fabulous week staying with R.  He said she was very well behaved and a joy to have.  Just us she leads a merry dance then!  :-))  She got lots of cuddles from D and me, and a few treats.

After dinner we watched the final of Scotland's Home of the Year (catching up, think it aired about three weeks ago) A predictable winner but not our favourite.

Conversation earlier with D...

Me - will there be a delicious breakfast buffet laid out on the kitchen table tomorrow morning at 9am?
Him - only if you're down at 8.50am to lay it out.

So back to auld claes and porritch for us :-)
