View from Luz

Went off to Luz  (one of the other two towns in our Conselho) this morning to deliver some books to Dan and Mireille, and got this view of Mourão from the road out of Luz. If you look carefully, you can also see Monsaraz on its hill, in the distance on the left.

Also filled the car, as prices due to rise sharply, apparently. One effect of trouble in the Middle East, I guess.

Gratefuls:
- a temporary lull in the extreme heat, still hot, but bearable
- Mike getting the bars done in the window he put in the door, so guests can sleep with a through breeze
- beauty in the dryness
