Lady Bird
My goodness it has been hot today, we Scots are not made for heat like this, especially when we have no time to acclimatise to it.
I planned to go out for a run, so dressed in my running kit. I pottered around the house, then ventured out to hang out my washing. That’s when I realised how hot it was. I was so hot that I decided against a run. I mainly littered in the house, went to the local bakery, and then later in the morning I walked to Amisfield Garden to compensate for not running. I picked up a lovely sandwich on my way back as my reward!
I thought I would sit in the garden and finish my book, but abandoned that plan and hid in the house. Later I got myself ready and caught a bus to Edinburgh. It was unbearably hot. I made my way to TT’s office, we then headed to meet-up with friends for a couple of drinks, before going to a lovely wee restaurant for delicious food. It was still hot when we left and made our way to the bus stop. There was a lovely pink sky.
A friend also got on the bus, so we had a good chat all the way home.
I spotted this ladybird on a foxglove in our garden.
