Books and Boxes
** Backblip for Saturday **
The latest book to read for the Tiptree book club arrived in the post, just a cheap second hand paperback copy. It’s ‘The Beekeeper of Aleppo’ by Christy Lefteri (pictured). Somehow I will have to find time to read it over the next ten days…
I sorted and arranged all my clothes, woollies and coats into the most logical cupboards. It’s a tight squeeze, but everything just about fits! I don’t think I’ll need to fix any shelves in the narrower wardrobe in the new unit (thank goodness - see yesterday’s blip), as this one contains longer dresses and coats than I’ve hung up in the wider one, and I’m in the process of stacking shoeboxes underneath the clothes. I’ve never been one to discard the original boxes and put shoes out on a rack, as I’ve found they just get dusty. You can see what’s in each box from the picture that’s usually stuck on the end along with the size and colour. If there isn’t one it’s easy to take a photo, print it off and glue it on the box.
It’s been a frustrating couple of days, where my ambitions for sorting out and moving into the newly-finished bedroom have been somewhat thwarted by the need to take rest breaks in the hot weather. I’ve never coped well in higher temperatures and humidity, and as I get older this is only getting worse. I’m so desperate to finally feel properly settled in my new home, but will just have to be patient.
