Lovely to be home

And to find those wonderful boys not only fed Portia, but watered my garden through the heatwave.  They actually said they’d had a lot of fun with the hose:-) I was so happy to find nothing at all had died, though one or two things - like the black-eyed Susan above were a bit thirsty.  That was easily solved.
I was up at 6 and at the bus stop in Inverness by 6.45. A little visit to the cafe in the airport, then security (I find it quite difficult to take off my walking boots in a hurry with nowhere to sit), and lots of standing around, feeling a bit anxious, will my bag fit in their bag measuring thing? Will there be space in the locker? Why does everyone else have Speedy Boarding? I really wished I’d gone back on the sleeper too. Not just because it’s better carbon-wise, but also because it’s welcoming.
Back home at noon.  Portia didn’t make a fuss, she just got on my lap at the first opportunity, and it was as if I’d never been away.
The rest of the day spent unpacking, washing, writing a very long shopping list, and gardening. Of course Portia joined in all those activities. Suitcases, clothes that need washing, pieces of paper, and the garden mat being some of her favourite things.
I’m afraid I haven’t caught up yet looking at everyone’s blip journal, but I will soon:-)
