Ophelia
We visited the Tate Britain today to go see Ophelia as Orla will be studying the Pre-Rapaelites as part of her Advanced Higher Art next year. She is also doing Hamlet for English, the play that inspired the painting.
We then walked up to Buckingham Palace and through Green Park, stopping at benches and taking in the atmosphere of London.
Orla also wanted to look for books she will need for English, the Norton Critical Editions for Dracula and Wuthering Heights. We tried Halchards and Waterstones on Piccadilly but unfortunately they did not have them.
It was a nice day for walking, not too warm, but Orla and Conor were exhausted by the end. We got a bus back most of the way.
Later, Mum and Dad went out for dinner to a really nice Mediterranean restaurant, Megan's, by the Power Station.
