Arrowtown Powder Magazine . . .

………… built by the Arrowtown Borough Council in 1877, it was for the safe storage of mining explosives.
It looked bleak and sombre today, in its frosty setting.

The day started out with another frost, and fine enough but there’ve been lenticular clouds developing, and it’s all clouded over now with huge cumulonimbus clouds. The forecast for tomorrow is horrible, with watches for both rain and wind. A day for being inside methinks.

I picked up my daughter and son-in-law from the airport this afternoon. N. has had a bad cold up in Auckland and has been miserable; totally unlike him. Apparently he’s been getting the fire stoked up and the house warm. It’s always nice to be home when you’re not feeling the best.
