Football Reformed

We only popped into town very quickly today. We parked the car and got a ticket for only half a hour to see if we could challenge ourselves to get an image within that shortened timeframe.
For me that's not easy as I usually like to contemplate my surroundings and take things in a bit before I start to take any shots. On this occasion I spotted this scene after only five minutes walking down a small alleyway between a church (the town's United Reformed Church) and an empty shop. I felt there was just something slightly surreal about the football being trapped behind the rather nasty looking, and somewhat incongruous, spikes above the church's signage - surely a bit of strange environment in which to consider playing the beautiful game!
