So. Here We Are

Mouthful

The Tree Swallows, now happily (it seems) ensconced in the old bluebird house, are regularly back and forth with insects to feed their chicks. I saw a couple of the chicks for the first time yesterday - they are still quite small  and there was no way that such a large dragonfly could be stuffed down the throat of one of them. He (I think it's the male) spent quite some time trying before flying off with it and presumably eating it himself.
