Lydia

Yuko, Max and Matty were returning to London today. They had decided to catch the 12:10 train from Bangor. I left Pwllheli at 11:15am but it took an hour and 20 minutes to drive to Bangor. They missed the train ! Luckily, there was another at 1:06pm. It rained heavily all the way there and back. It was a three hour round trip for me. When I got back home, our friend Vinny and Sarb from Stafford were at the house. We hadn't seen them for a couple of years. They had been camping in Barmouth but had decided to take the tent down today because it had been raining so heavily. They had popped over to say hello before heading home. It was good to see them again.
At 6pm, a friend from work and her husband and niece arrived. Her niece Lydia is from Madrid and is going to be spending the next two weeks with us.
After a cup of tea, we went for a walk along the promenade. I had booked a table for the seven of us at the new Italian restaurant in town. The table was booked for 9pm. When we got there, the table wasn't ready and we had to stand and wait for an hour. It was 11pm by the time we got our food. The girls were asleep with their heads on the table by the time the food arrived. We were not impressed with the service at all. My son made a long list of everything that we were not happy with. I don't think we'll be returning there.
