Preston Bagot
So this morning I took the dogs a walk in the field. Then later this afternoon I went with the dogs to meet B at Preston Bagot. We walked towards Wooten wawen. It was a great day for wildlife. We first of all noticed lots of tiny young fish sunning themselves. There were loads of them all along the canal as we walked. There was a duck with four ducklings. Then we saw the kingfisher, we saw it a few times as we walked along. Then two herons. Lots of meadowsweet growing along the side of the canal. Some butterflies flitting around. Lots of different types of damselflies. I looked them up and think we saw the banded demoiselle, the willow emerald damselflies, the common blue damselflies, the azure damselflies and the large red damselflies. We walked towards Wooten wawen and found our logs and tree stumps area that we discovered a while ago. Makes a good place to stop for a snack, apart from the prickly brambles. Back home now and both dogs are snoozing.
