Starling

My garden was invaded by a large flock of starlings at lunchtime today. I was working at home and spent some of my lunch break watching them. As well as raiding the bird feeders, they were also getting slugs from the lawn. And they were wiping the slime off the slugs before eating them. Clever birds! The brave wee bluetit in the extra was also managing to take it's turn at the bird feeder.
