At Cobham…..Chelsea training ground.

A busy day…first for an X ray on my hip at Kingston hospital having been referred just yesterday..unbelievably efficient it took less than half  an hour after arrival! Then some bits and pieces in Kingston at 2 banks where everyone was so helpful…amazing.

I then did some paperwork and phone calls at home before collecting granddaughter from school and taking her plus a friend,  who is very interested in women’s football,  to the Chelsea Football training ground at Cobham ..plus another girl from our area. They are in the under 9 squad and were put through their paces with lots of different drills for 90 minutes with hardly any breaks. They had coaches in a ratio of about 1 coach to 8 girls…all very professional. Rather different from football in a primary school PE lesson!

You are not allowed to take photos of any of the players but the grounds are extensive and I took this near a lake area while walking back to one of the many car parks , the lake has three fountains . A lovely temperature today with some breeze which was welcome.
