Garden days
I was pleased with myself this morning for getting up and out and getting Joyce's parcel to the PO for just after 9, she should get it tomorrow a day before her birthday. I came back home to drop off the car and then headed into town on the bus to go Rogersons to try on some shoes with my Orthotics. I came away with a pair of Gabor trainers. My problem is I don't like trainers but they seem to be the only thing available to fit the orthotics.
I met up afterwards with Joan at La Barantine in Stockbridge where we had a very pleasant soup and sandwich lunch. We chatted for over two hours. Our chat continued as we walked along Raeburn Place, Joan then turned off for the Western to take some washing back to a friend and I headed home. I had time for a quick cup of tea then it was time for my Charity shop session.
Today's blip is in the garden. My water lily has excelled itself this year with 6 flowers. The rose is one of our Ruby Wedding Standards it's got well over a hundred buds/flowers on it, as has the other.
The last is my blackcurrant bush which seems to be surviving well thanks to my hanging some old CDs around to scare off the pigeons. I had some more raspberries off the bushes today too, there's not enough for a meal yet and it would be a shame to waste them.
