Derwent Valley Woodland
Had a drive out today and went to Bradfield which is a pretty village on the South Yorkshire/ Derbyshire border. My intended route up to Strines Moor was closed due to a landslide and the diversion took me through this forest. It is situated above one of the many reservoirs in the area.
Had a nightmare getting back through Sheffield, the A57 (my intended route) mysteriously disappeared from the road signs and when it reappeared, I was in the wrong lane. If you have ever driven through Sheffield at a busy time you will know that swapping over four lanes of traffic is just a no-goer!!
When I eventually got back on it, my satnav then took me off it and on to the sodding M1!!
After much cursing I returned back to base armed with pizzas and french fries for tea which went down a treat. Then had an enjoyable evening watching YouTube vids with crazy gang :-))
