I was in DC today

The wonderful people who held a workshop for USAID people who wanted to start businesses held the second, follow-up, today. There are still No Kings Day signs down 16th street. There are still decorations and this history exhibited in the area of DC I went.

We presented the idea, what we’d done since April, and what was going on now and what we needed to do.

I didn’t really learn anything or get any new ideas but it was absolutely marvelous to be in the company of other USAID people doing the same thing. The positive responses were wonderful and at the end one of the leaders pulled me aside and said that, of all the ideas presented, he believes ours will succeed, and he wants to stay in touch. 

THAT was such a positive that I sent an email to the core team about it. 

I told the new Dir of Communications that I want the company to be fun and she has a subtle cultural joke in it that I absolutely adore.
