Journies at home

Danielle

Danielle has taken to sleeping on our sun chair beneath the acacia, beside the canal. It doesn't matter if we have a party beside her, she lies there oblivious to it all

The water is flowing again and the scum has slipped over the rim and down into the mill chase.  The heat's not abated and the chestnut leaves have started falling.  I lean over the windowsill and watch them slide slowly over the surface and then queue up, as if they were at Aqualand and then race over the chute.
