Emerging courgette

When I was at the garden centre just over three weeks ago I spotted some little courgette plants for sale, and bought three on impulse. 

I’ve never grown vegetables before; I don’t really have the space for it. However, I do have a raised bed just outside the door to the garden, in which I’ve planted herbs in previous years. So my three tiny plants were duly planted there and, as you can see, they are growing apace, with one tiny courgette just emerging, and plenty more to come. 

I can tell you that this Blipper is inordinately excited about her foray into veggie growing and so, it must be said, is Smithers!
