Still no rain so the ground is baking hard and the plants are struggling to survive. Looks like we will have to visit the garden centre in late summer to replace the casualties.

Retirement Lunch Club speaker today was excellent. He recounted his exploits in the Around the World Yacht Race on his passage across the Atlantic, round Cape Horne and then across the Pacific. What an achievement.
