OLD

Thinking of something old today.  Joe and I drove past the firehouse this morning and I thought... OOOh, I am coming back for a photo!   By the time I came by I noticed this fireman and his mate were inside attending to a hose that was leaking oil.   They were just locking up when I sprang out of the car....  Hey.. Can I take a picture of this Fire truck?   They were happy to do so and this young man told me about the truck and a few other's that are going to be in the 4th of July parade in town.      This truck was made in 1938 and had the original equipment and the brass fittings for the hoses.    I asked if him about imagining taking this truck to a fire now adays.   well, he said, it would be pretty slow and  you have to do the clutch too!   I'll put a few other shots in the extras.    I did forget to ask him his name ( sometimes I am late to the party!) .  A very nice young man who loves this Fire truck and is proud to have it.    He told me of another one that is down the road a few miles that is steam powered and horse drawn.  I'll have to meander down there one day for a photo.
Many thanks to Jensphotos for hosting this week!
