INDIAN DAY 8…

DAYS MUDDLE THIS IS 24th!!

After a couple of nothing days P’s Dad arranged for a day trip. He did want to do a longer one with an overnight stay but it was proving difficult.

# started the day with a trip to get measurements done for me and O. And to drop off more forms!!

#then off for our 3 hour drive to Murdeshwara with a lunch stop at SHETTY (that’s the Indian family name) diner….in a town that looked very rundown but the restaurant was very nice with lovely service.

#we also stopped at a few temples…this one was very orate and probably my favourite so far. (Think I’ve been spoilt by temples in Thailand!!!)
Her Dad was very aware to stop at decent toilets too. X

#This is Lord Shiva on a man made island funded by one man Dr SHETTY!! 37m high!!
#The temple is 20 stories high. Despite them teasing me we didn’t have to walk it. There was a lift for 20p!!!
We could see up the coastline towards Goa but clouds meant we couldn’t see far. We spent about 2 hours and then we had the long drive home avoiding cattle on the road and with a stop for a snack.
We got back at about 8pm and pizza was ordered. I’m so glad because I am wasting away!!

Thank you Mr Shetty for the safe drive there and back. What a star.
