Crouching low

I had to go to Fraserburgh this morning to get some shopping.
On the way back, I spotted something in a field. I wasn’t sure if it was a stone or a hare. Fortunately, the gate to the field was open and I managed to get close enough to see that it was indeed a hare.
It soon ran away. Hares always seem to either crouch down and/or run away as you can see in the extra.
Coincidentally, I ordered the book “Raising Hare” after a recommendation from Sladbrod on Blip
It’s about a woman who finds an abandoned leveret and she tries to rear it. Very good so far.
