Fiddlenecks
The farmland either side of Holway Road in Sheringham looks like it's being grown as a green manure crop. Both fields are a blaze of purple Fiddlenecks. I also spotted buckwheat, lady's bedstraw, poppies and various grasses. These plants will add nutrition to the soil.
It's proving very popular with the general public who are stopping at the layby to take photos, but more importantly, with pollinators and butterflies. It really is good to see so many bees and butterflies enjoying the bounty.
