Tiny Warrior

There are two male hummingbirds here right now and while sometimes they ignore each other, more often they give chase.  Never mind that there are 3 feeders out plus lots of nectar-rich native flowers.  In between aerial flights to impress females and chasing away the rival male, this little guy took a break to perch for perhaps a minute.  He has what is probably the stamen from a small flower on his beak.  

I've really enjoyed hosting TinyTuesday this month.  I always enjoy seeing all the photos and also meeting new (to me) people here.  As usual, I struggled to hone my picks down to just 10, but here they are starting with Hummingbird Heart favorites...

The temps today are perfect, in the high 70's with a nice breeze and thin cloud layer.  I had a good session with my new therapist this morning.  All is good.
