Polish grave at Kiltearn Cemetry

Out for walk with my mum, dad, daughter and dog down by Kiltearn House and the Cromarty Firth. We went in to look at the cemetery as my daughter likes cemeteries and to see how many MacKenzies she can find there. I think it makes her feel part of something and connected to the land and a real sense of place and belonging. Otherwise she's just bloody morbid!
While wandering round counting the number of MacKenzies I came upon the graves of some Airmen from WW2; British, Australian, Canadian but mainly Polish. It was very sad to think of these young boys dying so far away from home.
