Johnny-Come-Lately Caterpillars

A cinnabar moth kept flitting around near a ragwort plant in the front garden earlier in the year. It was always alone, I felt sorry that it didn't have a mate.

Ragwort plants on the nursery soon had armies of caterpillars munching them. Not the one in the front garden. It has grown taller than I am. Rather belatedly the caterpillars have started to appear. :) The yellow flowers will attract other bugs for me to photograph.
