Water color

The kids got to make a drawing of one of the plants in the garden and then painted them with watercolors. There were some great ones. These got taped into their nature journal.
The whole irrigation system for the school isn't working properly. One of the many things that didn't get taken care of with the last administrator. The gardens out front that we wanted to plant in were so bone dry and hard that it was very frustrating. We finally got a long hose and a sprinkler and really watered the beds. Tomorrow we should be able to plant.
Tonight I'm going over to Cheyenne, our state capitol. We are rallying there in protest of a part in the big, horrible bill the president is trying to ramrod through congress. There are many bad things in the bill but one part was selling off millions of acres of federal land. These in large part are part of our "The Public's" national forests. In Wyoming we have a lot of public land that is used by a huge variety of people. Some of these areas are in the Snowies and up around Happy Jack, my special place. Now there has been such a big outcry already that they have walked parts of this back but it is not off the table. So off to Cheyenne we go. I hope for a big turn out.
