Shopping, Driving, Dwygyfylchi, Snooker
The start of a new holiday for a few days in Wales. Went shopping and stocked up for the stay before driving over the Pennines to near Conwy with a lovely pub lunch at the Stretton Fox before arriving in that unpronounceable little town above. The campsite is mainly permanent holiday homes with about 20 touring pitches and we were soon set up with the awning out and chairs and table ready for our dinner.
But before we were even remotely hungry we decided to visit the bar and terrace overlooking the sea, Anglesey and Puffin Island. Discovering a fine snooker table we also played 2 games - each winning one - so this pastime may well see more of us in the next couple of days. We were not very hungry and so rather than cook we had bread and cheese, pork pie and pickles with a pleasant Italian red wine. Completed the Guardian crossword together and then completed the rather more complicated construction of LV’s bed before retiring feeling relaxed and very happy with our chosen spot. Realised how much L contributes to life in the van particularly when I was getting the bed ready! Glad to have been able to WhatsApp and hear about her time in Portugal.
