Every cloud ...

... has a silver lining.

Sadly, this pot got a knock as it was pulled from the kiln and has two hairline cracks.   I didn't notice them when I first picked it up tonight and it's still a beautiful piece but it's not going to hold water.   However, it has already found a use.   I have long collected seed heads from the garden and stuffed them all into one of the vases I made long ago when I first potted.   Now they are better displayed split between two vases :-)

A long and very full day.   Jamie had a hospital appointment in Bangor at 930 am so I was up before six and picked him up just after seven having first brough Bella back to mine so the dogs could keep each other company.   We arrived fifteen minutes early and he was seen almost immediately so we were back on the road before ten.   As we headed back south the rain clouds broke up, the sunlight showing the amazing scenery off to great effect.   We shopped in Porthmadog, taking advantage of a bigger, busier town than Tywyn and got home just after one.

I had thought I might snooze the afternoon away but actually ended up doing stuff, a load of laundry washed and quickly dried in the warm wind outside plus I did an hour or so in the garden.   The Thursday evening community session at pottery saw a couple more pieces glazed.   I'm up-to-date with that ... until tomorrow when a kiln of bisque will be unloaded!
