Sauna In the Flora

Arlo and I went to Edgelaw for our afternoon walk, the water level is even lower than I have seen it before. As usual we took our usual detour at the bridge to go up to the bit of the river we through the resident stick in... yes it is still there. As we were heading back, he headed up another less trodden path looking back at me to see if I'd follow... so dogs can increase their confidence from deciding where we go, so off we went.

This path takes you to an old stone dyke and then it gets steep and I've only once gone that way. But the water level was low and the sun was shining on a spot in the trees on the other side of the river so I tottered along a log that crossed it and could see there was a proper path. With all the flora and the recent rain and the sun, it was like a sauna, lovely. It was a decent path along the river, but split in two, (will need to test the other path next time) and we ended up out in the fields and walked back to the west entrance to Edgelaw. It was a nice walk and will need to re-explore. Arlo loves to explore somewhere new, happy boy!
