Bereft

I had a nasty fall at running club the other night. I tripped over a tree root and planted my face firmly into another set of tree roots. It wasn't exactly pleasant for me - I've got a split lip and a whole collection of bruises. But it was fatal for my Garmin running watch. :(
Garmin do a trade-in scheme with a discount off a new one, which is nice. But it felt really sad, to switch off my old one and parcel it up. We've had so many adventures together. It was a bit scratched and battered, but it has literally been my constant companion for years. I feel naked without it.
I will be getting a shiny new one soon, and hopefully we will have lots of new adventures together soon.
