“Why is the Hut …

… not open?”
I’ve never seen a bouquetin so close to a mountain hut but several of them were taking advantage of the closure and licking the outside of the hut, probably for salt that comes out of the rocks and concrete. I’d gone up to the hut to meet up with our Sherpa friends who are working on the footpaths in the Diablerets Glacier area every summer when they can manage to get a visa. Much more about Pema and Lopsang (extra) next weekend when they will be staying with us. Also a more traditional bouquetin shot in extras. There was a herd of 24 old and young males, around the hut as no one else was there, magical mountain moments!
