Hiding in plain sight
Before Covid, I visited a beautiful small garden near Kidderminster. I couldn’t resist an unusual perennial geranium and I can’t remember its name. I planted it in one of the beds, but without a lot of sun.
I did quite a bit of tidying earlier this year and I also added some chicken manure pellets. Not sure if either helped but when I was doing as Monty said, properly deadheading some roses, I spotted two flowers on the plant.
I fell in love with it all over again.
Bonkers but brilliant. That was my reaction to the new production of “Semele” at Covent Garden. I went to the final dress rehearsal. There were awful train problems again but I won’t say more. I just adored the day out, met up with a friend I haven’t seen in years and years (she didn’t recognise me but luckily I remembered her name.)
…..and was delighted to be there to hear Lichfield lass, Alice Coote.
