Roundabout

A new roundabout is under construction on the main road from Ylöjärvi. It's the eighth on a 3.4-kilometre stretch of the road, but having gotten used to them, it doesn't seem so extreme any more.

What's weirder though is the schedule of this one. The work started in late 2023 and according to the signs it was supposed to be finished last November. However, for most of the time, not much has happened, because it was left to settle for nine months after a thick layer of gravel was laid there, so the schedule was unrealistic. Apparently, the ones responsible for the work were not responsible for putting up the signs.

Anyway, now there's progress and it should be ready in the direction of main road next winter. That doesn't apply to the new road to the left, which will replace the one beyond the worksite, so the old, quite inconvenient crossing will stay in use for some time more.

No rain, but the morning was quite cool, still below +10°C after 9 am. Temperature finally rose to +19°C in the evening. Quite warm for this summer, but that says a lot about this summer!
