The joys of travel

What a horrible trip back: everything was late and delayed, starting with our ride to the airport and then both flights. Then we arrived in Washington in the middle of a thunderstorm that had us circle around for another 1.5 hrs. Long lines at customs (thank god no issues…). And finally: a 2-hr delay to get our bags on account of protecting bagage handlers from lightning strikes: in 45 years of traveling across the world I’d never heard of that one. Recuperation today
