Testing

Sorry, more work photos - it was either this or another batch of soap that I made today.

Made more soap this morning (Patchouli and Geranium) and once I'd cleaned that up I cut and stamped the soap I made (and blipped) yesterday. Then it made up some tester candles - a couple are for Echo Beach Designs - I've been struggling to wick their new fragrance correctly - so that it burns evenly, with the right size flame (not too big or too small), no smoking, gives a good scent throw (both hot and cold) and burns an acceptable amount of grams per hour (4-5 in case you were wondering). Hoping one of these will prove to be the winning formula. There's a lot more to making a good candle than you would imagine and can sometimes take months to get right for some fragrances.

Later this afternoon I went to visit a friend, shes not been doing so well after recent heart surgery and some other complications that seem to be a mystery to her doctors and specialists. It was good to see her and hopefully, cheer her up a bit. She was so independent and active, driving all over the place, right up until her surgery, not your usual 92 year old, must be so frustrating for her.
