Durham from the Train

Our journey from Oxford back to Newcastle went well, except for delay of about 20 minutes owing to a broken-down freight train (and the train being very busy). Fortunately I was on the correct side of the train to get a photo of Durham Cathedral and Castle as we went through the station there. It must rank as one of the best city views from a train in the country.

So now we have Son#1, his wife and Grandson P staying with us along with Son#2 and his partner. Son#3 came round to see them with his fiancee and Grandson A - it's the first time for a year that Grandsons P and A have been together. I think we're in for a busy but lovely time for the next few days!
