On the Top Bunk

My beautiful niece arrived today from Florida on an overnight flight.

Brunch at Honest Greens, a walk by the Tagus, and then the long hot drive to our home - temperatures around 40C, and the air con in our car leaves a lot to be desired.

A quick tour of Évora on the way. Dinner outside in the dark, and now hoping we can sleep - not only is it still pretty hot, but there’s a loud concert of popular Portuguese dance music blaring out of town - it’s past midnight.

And no way am I getting out my laptop - the bugs all start divebombing me for the light. So another phone photo it is.

Gratefuls:
- making it home, all of us safe and fairly sound
- Mike cleaning out the wine vat - it’s predicted to be even hotter tomorrow
- comparing childhood memories with my sisters; we certainly had an unconventional upbringing
