Roasted tomatoes
The first ones of the season! I split the small cherry and past tomatoes and season with salt, pepper, garlic, fresh rosemary and sage. I drizzle with olive oil and roast in the oven on 350’ until skins start to blacken. I then mixed with cream cheese to serve on crackers tomorrow. Would also be fabulous with toasted ravioli! Friends are coming in the morning and each is bringing a dish. We all love the same type of foods. Should be fun!
Picked some blueberries this morning then had to go to dentist bc my temporary crown shattered last night. They fixed me up in an hour. Then back home. Froze the berries, roasted the tomatoes, watered the garden and cleaned a little for tomorrow. It’s never ending with 2 people, a cat and 4 dogs in and out all day. But… this is the life we chose and it suits us. :—)
I feel so blessed. These girls have Ben out and picked blueberries for them selves. The y say they are going to help us pick tomorrow.
They know they will get muffins and pies this winter. :—)
