Catalpa tree

From the walk with L along Catoctin Creek. This flowering tree was so beautiful and fragrant. I thought it might be a Linden but wasn't sure, and have learned it's a Catalpa, which (if I'm understanding correctly) is native to the US but has been introduced elsewhere. Such showy flowers!
